The objective of the research was to find out how the three physical parameters (temperature, humidity and pH of the soil) influence the population growth of the flora and fauna of the urban ecosystem in the Simón BolÍvar central park in the Jipijapa canton. The importance was to initiate activities that involved the Jipijapense community in the care and protection of the ecosystem of this area, it was experimented and it became known how human actions in favor of nature could generate significant benefits and impacts on urban ecosystems. The second semester students of the Environmental Engineering degree at the State University of the South of ManabÍ, analyzed, determined and evaluated how these environmental factors influence the development of an urban ecosystem. Scientific research methods such as theoretical level: analysis-synthesis, historical-logical and induction-deduction, empirical level: observation and bibliographic review were used. The results obtained showed that the temperature and humidity vary in some months of the year, while the pH of the soil is neutral. It was concluded that the temperature variation does not affect the development of the growth of flora and fauna. Through the analyzes carried out, it was shown that the soil pH does not limit development; on the contrary, it is favorable for the growth of endemic species in this area. It was determined that humidity does play an important role in population growth, it contributes to maintaining the balance of the existing species in this area.
