Artificial Intelligence is a branch of computing that is gradually establishing itself in everyday life; however, it is not yet being applied very intensively in the field of software development. The objective of this work is to know what is the application and impact that artificial intelligence has had as a tool to ensure the quality of the software. As a research methodology, follow the search for evidence written in scientific articles by planning and executing a systematic review. about the topic. This work describes general aspects of artificial intelligence, of the quality standards that can be applied to the software industry and presents results of the systematic review, which are based on the answers to the questions asked by the 26 articles accepted according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the review protocol. These questions are related to the benefits, methodologies, metrics and applications of artificial intelligence in software quality assurance, their answers allow us to conclude that there are still very few studies on software quality, that the most controlled metrics have to to do with the performance, configuration, and efficiency of the software; In addition, it was evident that in projects that used cascade, rapid development, symbolism, prototyping and spiral software development methodologies, the application of artificial intelligence for software quality assurance is possible.
