Experiences in the hospital internship "Nursing"

Abstract

The hospital internship is a fundamental stage for our professional training, it is an essential practice for students to apply, integrate and consolidate the knowledge acquired during their study periods and begin to develop new skills and abilities that allow them to function in the best way in the professional field. The objective is to describe our hospital experiences in the hospital internship and the realities that were found at the beginning of this stage. It is a study of personal reflection, descriptive, applying phenomenology and existentialism, a bibliographic search is carried out on the subject and the use of the interview with 10 internal colleagues. The main responses to the questions were feelings of achievement, satisfaction at having reached this long-awaited stage and at the same time fear of not being sufficiently prepared to face it, the possibility of discovering an excellent training environment with quality professionals, the power take care of patients in relation to responsibility. At the beginning of the internship, the nursing interns were well received in the different areas, with fear, but with all the predisposition to learn and to discover new experiences that help us to be better every day in pre-professional practice, with great workload due to their little habit, with little time to carry out other types of activities, in addition to being away from the family and exposed to different infectious diseases generates concern. It concludes by stating that this stage is very valuable for our professional training, which must be used with interest, dedication, and responsibly in order to be great professionals in the future.
