Abstract

Unquestionably the population of the Portoviejo parish projects a constant growth, it could be said that it is growing with an approximate number of between 100 or more inhabitants each year. Solid waste is waste material that we must handle hygienically and properly inside the house, and likewise, remove it outside it in such a way that they do not cause environmental problems or health risks. If we dump solid waste anywhere (streets, empty lots or in the open), we encourage the appearance of garbage dumps that cause health problems and impact on the environment. Thanks to this collection of data and information carried out through a virtual survey, we can assume that the inhabitants of this parish want to know strategies to be able to acquire good solid waste management in their homes in order to conserve or prioritize in order to achieve a future healthy for future generations. When possible or necessary we recommend that the residents can take advantage of organic waste for compost to be used in family, community or school gardens. If you want to make fertilizer, it is recommended to consult the technician in the area who has knowledge about it. Additionally, waste paper, cardboard, some plastics can be sold as a recyclable item. In addition, without forgetting that all of the aforementioned by taking a good process can obtain great long-term results, since all these harmful factors can be rescued for their better quality of life in its inhabitants and avoid overpopulation in order to preserve renewable natural resources. Of our planet and therefore the few resources of this parish since its deterioration over the years can be high because it is an urban and central area of the cantonal head.
