When we talk about wireless communication technologies, we refer to Wifi as Significados.com points out: "it allows us to connect electronic equipment to the Internet through the use of radio frequencies for the transmission of information. With the passage of time, Wi-Fi has presented several complications of coverage, bandwidth, interferences in the connection and even security "(Significados.com, 2018).Due to the problems presented by Wi-Fi, a new technology was developed to cover the needs of users, such as Li-Fi, a wireless technology that allows data to be sent through the light.Li-Fi technology has its beginnings in the year 1880 by Alexander Graham Bell with the transmission of a voice message, then it was taken up by Professor Harald Haas of the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom in order to create a system of wireless communication that uses the visible spectrum of light as a means of data transmission.Li-Fi is an innovation improvement of wireless technologies is not the successor of Wi-Fi on the contrary is a complement, the new Li-Fi technology is characterized by transmitting information through the led light to different electronic devices capable of receiving The luminous light connected at a distance of 3 meters with a transmission speed of 1Gb per second is much cheaper and easier to implement than it is much faster, safer and more efficient than the other types of Internet access we know in the news. For the research, an investigative method was used to identify the problems, a bibliographic method for the collection of data from the different websites and the explorative method for the respective analysis and results of the different investigations to be treated, with this, the concepts that They are helpful to achieve a result and thus know the use of the internet through luminous light with li-fi technology.
