LA COMUNICACIÓN INTRAFAMILIAR: EVITA EL CONSUMO DE SUSTANCIAS PSICOTROPICAS

Abstract

At present we find various family nuclei that are affected by the excessive consumption of addictive substances that harm the physical-mental health of the consumer and those around him. Violence, instability, disintegration, emotional deficiencies and the lack of intra-family communication increase drug use, and do not favor personal growth. Many of the adolescents use countless substances as a way out to other types of problems, that is why this research work is carried out, which is motivated to analyze how intrafamily communication is a factor that helps to repress the consumption of psychotropic substances in the adolescents of the Ayacucho parish, belonging to the Santa Ana canton; The methodology used is of a mixed quantitative-qualitative type using the analytical-synthetic method, with a descriptive research design, taking as an object of study adolescents consuming psychotropic substances, who were in the age range between 11 to 16 years, residents in this town and who were willing to participate voluntarily, having as an instrument the interview carried out with the mothers of each of the young people under study and a questionnaire with 10 closed questions, in such a way that it is possible to process and contrast the information on frequency of use of psychotropic substances, age of onset, and consumption patterns, with the result that there is a great problem with intra-family communication between parents and children, mainly when raising very important issues such as drug addiction and the conclusion that each of the adolescents have a high probability of c aer in the consumption of psychotropic substances, mainly children from dysfunctional homes, or adolescents who lack family communication and affection from parents and relatives.
