Abstract

This paper presents a bibliographical review of road safety as a right of the city, a problem that affects the preservation of human life in conditions of development, which has a particular impact on the protection of a fundamental right: the right to life.
The right to the city is a term that is not widely used, but that does not mean that it does not cease to be a fundamental aspect of road safety, since citizens are constantly on this road scenario and are fundamental actors in it.
The article analyzes and poses the different aspects of this problem that are presented to achieve the maintenance of cities in a sustainable manner, in particular road safety, congestion and deterioration of infrastructure, which focus and affect the proper mobility of people in cities and are part of the rights of citizens.
