Abstract

Experience in research necessarily refers to its practice, using resources as a toolbox, which brings together methodologies, techniques and instruments, as well as a whole series of protocols in the dynamics of their application in a systematic way.

The qualitative modality is constituted as a particular strategy and approach to knowledge production in the field of education. Here, aspects that make up its foundation are presented in an articulated manner, according to paradigmatic epistemological-theoretical assumptions that are associated with the nature of the problem and the object of study binding on our work in the educational field.

Likewise, the dynamic processual linkage that presupposes by principle and position a non-exclusive mixed open approach, among the different possibilities of combining methodological strategies. But here the consistency of the qualitative path approach is developed associated with theoretical, empirical or technical methods, types of designs, as synonymous with approach, its sui generis criteria for selecting participants, the quality of its data and sources, reliability, validity, triangulation and saturation as guarantees of its rigor.
