We worked with the survey technique and a mixed questionnaire with dichotomous and open questions, to know the students' opinions on the need for training in hotel room product management. The results demonstrate the importance and need of this training for future professionals in the lodging sector. The relevance of integrating sustainability in the management of products and services is highlighted to promote responsible practices in the tourism industry. In conclusion, the importance of providing training and updating of hotel staff on sustainability issues is emphasized. It is necessary to adopt a more responsible and sustainable vision in management, which allows optimizing the use of environmental resources, minimizing negative effects and maximizing benefits for the industry and people, to keep up with new trends in the world and ensure business survival. The effective implementation of a training program is recommended to improve the management of the hotel room product that contributes to the sustainable development of the sector.
