Abstract

In Ecuador, health promotion is aimed at strengthening community participation and maintaining a healthy environment. Linking with society works in favor of the community in the execution of linking projects carried out by students, teachers and with the support of the Health District 13D03, seeking to improve the quality of life of the community. The State University of the South of Manabí in its role with society, supported by the linkage project "Intensify Support in Epidemiological Surveillance and Primary Health Care activities, post-COVID-19 pandemic, in the vulnerable population of the Jipijapa Canton". The project's general objective is "Strengthen support in Epidemiological Surveillance and Primary Health Care activities, post-pandemic of COVID-19, in the vulnerable population of the Jipijapa Canton, year 2022". The research was non-experimental, the descriptive method was used, applying an information collection instrument to 4066 inhabitants of the urban parishes of the Jipijapa canton, actions to destroy mosquito breeding sites were carried out in 4066 homes, mosquito breeding sites were eliminated in 4066 households; Actions for the promotion and execution of cleaning mingas were carried out in 6 neighborhoods of our canton.

1865 inhabitants were trained in health promotion and disease prevention, focusing on the pathologies that most frequently affect the intervened population of the Jipijapa Canton. 5 open houses were held for the most incident diseases in the post-pandemic intervened population.
