ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION A CURRENT SOCIAL CHALLENGE IN THE CITY OF PORTOVIEJO

The purpose of environmental protection is to expose the involvement of human beings in environmental protection and how this context is having a negative impact on health, it also addresses the positive influence of environmental education on the conservation of the environment, for this reason a descriptive methodology, and quantitative, investigative, experimental, analytical and bibliographic methods, with bibliographic techniques through surveys, the sample was applied to 384 people in the city of Portoviejo, with a margin of error of 5.63. According to the results of the survey carried out to the citizens of the city of Portoviejo, it was possible to analyze that the efforts made by the Municipal Government of Portoviejo, the environmental challenge, has generated positive changes in awareness about caring for the environment and campaigns could be implemented that improve environmental education. Without a doubt, the environmental challenge and environmental protection in the city of Portoviejo has had to face different changes such as ecological or environmental deterioration that affect the health of each individual.
