Socioeconomic Impact of an Entrepreneurship Incubator through an Efficient Management Model.

Abstract

The social impact that the implementation of a business incubator at the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Amazónico will have includes promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development in the city of Yantzaza, in addition to generating financial profits for entrepreneurs, and addressing the demand for employment by young people. To achieve this objective, a market research was carried out that made it possible to quantify the main needs of the demand for the incubation service; and through these guidelines, generate an efficient management model for the transformation of business ideas into sustainable companies, investments, costs and income, financial profitability indicators were quantified and social feasibility was analyzed. It is determined that, although the amount of investments is low, the project is not financially attractive due to factors such as the number of units produced by the ventures, the sales price of the service and the remuneration of the personnel in charge of the operation. The implementation of the business incubator within the ISTAM facilities will contribute to reducing unemployment, improving the income of entrepreneurs, increasing the production of raw materials and creating new units that generate added value to primary production.
