PROBLEMS PERCEIVED IN JIPIJAPA DUE TO THE CURRENT STATE OF THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM

This article shows an interesting investigation about identifying the problems generated by the sanitary sewer system of Jipijapa, the problems associated with the community and the lack of coordination and planning of the network, it has led to the fact that there are currently many cities in our environment such as It is the Jipijapa canton that suffers from flooding problems during episodes of intense rain, with all the social problems that this leads to, where it is shown that the quality of the service provided by the municipality to the citizens is sometimes not of the all favorable. Through the surveys carried out to the inhabitants of the Canton Jipijapa, with a total of 275 responses with a margin of error of 6%. The factors that mainly affect the presence of wastewater is health, such as the multiplication of breeding sites for flies and mosquitoes and the attraction of cockroaches and rodents, as well as giving a bad appearance and unpleasant odors according to 52.7% of responses by the inhabitants of the Canton Jipijapa. There are also drawbacks such as working conditions in sewerage systems since sewer plugging is visible in many sectors of the urban area. The bad habits and lack of education of the citizens in the final disposal of solid waste, the inhabitants of the Canton Jipijapa do consider that it is important not to throw waste in the street with a percentage of 96%. It is very important that a good sanitary sewer maintenance is generated for the well-being and health of people in order to comply with the sustainable development objectives, one of the main and important objectives on which we focus is objective 6 which is to keep the water clean and sanitation. Target 6.2 By 2030, improve water quality by reducing pollution. According to the results analyzed, Jipijapa has a sanitary sewer network in fair condition because the infrastructure is not considered to be in good condition.
