COLOR CODING TECHNIQUE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF SPELLING PRACTICE.

Abstract

This research shows the application of a methodology called color coding technique. Its objective is to strengthen writing skills in high school students through the use of the color coding technique. For this purpose, several steps will be carried out for the application of this technique according to what was planned in a study guide. The experiment consisted in the selection of two groups of high school students from the Ernesto Velásquez Kúffo public school, where they were distributed according to the school's authority. Both groups of students were submitted to a series of exercises and activities specifically designed to evaluate their spelling skills. As a result of the diagnosis obtained, a complementary strategy was implemented to reinforce spelling by assigning specific colors to different spelling categories or elements in order to highlight and organize the information in a visually clear manner. Finally, after the implementation, a positive impact on the development of spelling skills could be obtained through practice where they allowed to strengthen the knowledge of each one of them.
