Alimentación y formación de cristales urinarios: implicaciones para la salud renal y estrategia de prevención

Introducción: La litogénesis hace referencia al conjunto de procesos fisicoquímicos y biológicos que ocurren desde la sobresaturación de la orina hasta la formación de un cálculo urinario. se puede subdividir en dos fases principales: la cristalogénesis, que abarca las diversas etapas de formación de cristales tanto en individuos normales y la calculogénesis, que se presenta exclusivamente en pacientes litiásicos y explica los procesos de retención, agregación y conversión cristalina responsables de la formación, crecimiento y transformación del cálculo. Objetivo: El propósito de la investigación fue el poder determinar parámetros alimenticios que influyen en la formación de cristales urinarios, debido que según la ingesta de alimentos puede aumentar la formación de cristales urinarios. Metodología: se basó siendo un diseño documental de tipo descriptivo. Resultados: El análisis indica que la sal y los productos lácteos son los más frecuentemente asociados a la formación de cristales, esto sugiere un impacto significativo en la formación de cristales potencialmente a través de la modulación del equilibrio mineral dentro del organismo. Conclusión: La formación de diversos tipos de cristales urinarios, incluidos los oxalatos y el ácido úrico, esta prominencia de la sal como factor contribuyente hace énfasis en su importante papel en la formación de cálculos renales en comparación con alimentos mencionados con menos frecuencia.
