Abstract

Since 2015, many countries around the world have adopted the implementation of the 2030 Schedule for Sustainable Development, which, among other things, seeks to: end poverty and reduce rates of social, economic and environmental vulnerability. In this context, it was proposed to estimate the vulnerability of a territory, in order to create transcendent concepts such as susceptibility, adaptability and guide the calculation required to standardize and normalize data, using the descriptive and quantitative method, respectively. It was also necessary to use the exploratory method to obtain official data from the last census carried out in Peru, obtaining specific information from the Department of Pasco. The main result shown in this article is the vulnerability map obtained from the study area, not to mention the relevance of the data that generates it. It is concluded that the use of information on the vulnerability of a territory allows planners from any country to direct investments to reduce inequalities and inequities in vulnerable sectors and, therefore, contribute to the particular achievement of the following objectives: SDG 1: set end poverty in all its forms throughout the world; SDG 6: Guarantee the availability of water and its sustainable management and sanitation for all; SDG 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable; among others, which are part of the 2030 Schedule.
